Sunbird and Lightning 0.3. Thanks to the hard work of our localizers,
both Sunbird and Lightning are available immediately in 17 different
locales.

3D Realms sends along the promised new patch for Prey, advancing the
retail edition of this gravity-defying sci-fi first-person shooter by
Human Head Studios to version 1.2. This upgrade adds four new
multplayer maps, five new multiplayer characters/skins, and several bug
fixes and improvements. It also incorporates the Win32 dedicated
server, while a correspondingly updated Linux dedicated server is
available separately.

The F.E.A.R.: Extraction Point demo is now available, offering the
promised sample of TimeGate's add-on for Monolith's shooter. Word is
the single-player demo "features a level from the upcoming F.E.A.R.
expansion pack and gives players a preview of a never-before-seen
weapon and new enemy." The download is available on the F.E.A.R. Website and at the following mirrors.

Blizzard COO Paul Sams has told GamesIndustry.biz that the company
plans to release a new expansion pack for multi-million selling MMO
World of Warcraft every year.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Sams said, "Starting with The
Burning Crusade, every year thereafter we plan on bringing out a new
expansion set - so every 12 months."
