Lavasoft has released the Ad-Aware 2008 free adware and spyware scanner. Setup and usage instructions for Ad-Aware 2008 are virtually identical to that of Ad-Aware 2007, however I recommend uninstalling previous versions of Ad-Aware first. Note that the name of the additional Service the program installs is now 'Lavasoft Ad-Aware Service' instead of 'Ad-Aware 2007 Service' - it can be set to Manual in XP but must be left at Automatic in Vista.

The Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars 1.5 game update is now available for download both via the in-game updater and the mirrors below. 1.5 comes with a large number of improvements and fixes. If you have the Steam version of Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, you can get the update automatically by simply starting up your Steam client. The Mac version of the update is still rumbling through Aspyr's QA department and should be released within the next few days.

Nvidia has released the Official Forceware 175.16 drivers for Windows XP and Vista. These drivers are the WHQL certified versions of the recently released 175.16 Beta Forceware drivers - the only change is the certification. They are for all GeForce 6,7,8 and 9 series graphics cards, and contain a range of fixes and new features.

Release Notes:

Fixed an issue where secondary sound effects would not work with the Use Hardware option enabled in the Sound options of the User Interface.
Fixed an issue where attempting to use some instant cast spells with Auto-Dismount in Flight checked in the interface would fail.
Items that have multiple charges will now properly display the amount of charges.
Fixed an issue where chain damage spells were chaining to critters.
Female Draenei horns will now correctly protrude through certain plate helms.
The Vengeful Gladiator’s Rifle will now play the proper sound when used.
The Cursed Vision of Sargeras now gives the buff, “Sense Demons” which can be canceled normally. Additionally hunters and druids are able to track two things at once while using the item.
