As many of you will already know, Laura "Taera" Genender passed away last week. Laura was best known for her time as MMORPG.com's community manager, and had recently moved into a job at CCP. She was also a regular user of Coldfront IRC.

Laura came to Coldfront when she moved the official MMORPG.com IRC channel to our network. She quickly became a regular chatter, and continued to be so after she moved over to CCP. Her MMORPG.com developer chats became a regular much-enjoyed feature on the network.

Laura was always a pleasure to talk to, and all Coldfront staff who knew her will agree that it's hard to think of anything bad to say about her. She was always very friendly and cheerful, and always kept her cool, even under the pressure of entire developer teams being server banned because of session limits.

The Coldfront IRC Network will not be the same without Taera; we will miss her dearly. As a gesture of respect, her nickname will never expire.
